This is an interactive CD-Rom about the language of music, with various sections that help the reader explore the universe of music from multiple points of view. The CONCERTO, for example, is a "listening experience", and like in a concert hall programme, the listener can enjoy 30 minutes of great music. The GLOSSARIO contains information on personalities, instruments, schools, and all musical terms. The traditional text is accompanied by graphics and music. The heart of the CD is the LINGUAGGIO section which gives the reader access to the "grammar" of music via well-planned, logical approaches, elucidated by animation and audio effects. The CRONOLOGIA recounts the great events, the elegant "débuts", and first nights. Finally, GALLERIA narrates the biographies of the musicians, composers, and patrons, tells the stories of the elegant and cultured environments in which classical music was born and developed.
