Along side Musica in Scena, UTET has created a series dedicated to the Libretti d’Opera.
The poetic and dramatic texts set to music by the greatest operatic composers of all time and every country are published in this series.
Each volume opens with a complete critical essay, written by an expert, and contains a range of illustrations showing the activity of the composer in the theatrical world of his time.
The librettos written in a language other than Italian have a parallel text accurately translated from the original.
Libretti d’Opera is a collection for all music lovers, specialists, collectors, or simply opera enthusiasts.
The series starts with volumes devoted to Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart, Gioachino Rossini and Vincenzo Bellini.
