The Dizionario Enciclopedico Universale della Musica e dei Musicisti is the most up-to-date and complete encyclopaedia of music.
Approximately 300 people co-ordinated by Alberto Basso have worked on this outstanding publication, guaranteeing clarity and high scientific standards. The DEUMM constitutes an indispensable instrument for:

The Dizionario Enciclopedico Universale della Musica e dei Musicisti contains approximately 10,000 pages, with both black and white and colour tables, and musical quotations. There are two sections:
First section: Il Lessico (Lexis – Four volumes).
Second section: Le Biografie (Biographies – Eight volumes).
The biographies present a complete catalogue of the works of the principal composers.
In the Appendix there are 5,000 new entries, dealing with musical phenomena or topics of recent debate or critical revision.
