Publication

The publication is actually the Italian reference text in the field of phlebology and lymphology, and since it is the fruit of the work of major Italian experts, it brings together a wealth of experience from all of the Italian scientific groups which form the Collegio Italiano di Flebologia of which professor Mancini is a former president.
The work is attentive to the practical needs of doctors and surgeons working with patients who have acute or chronic diseases of the blood and lymphatic systems, and the subject matter is of interest to both experienced and new professionals working in the field. Coverage ranges from the indispensable notions of anatomy and physiopathology to indications on clinical examination or diagnosis (differential and instrumental, invasive and non-invasive); it also includes therapy (medical, surgical and rehabilitative), sclerotherapy or elastocompression, the most sophisticated treatment techniques and interaction with other specialist disciplines.
For each subject there are indications and contra-indications, information on techniques, analysis of results (immediate and long-term), possible complications and steps to take in solving them.
The wealth of illustrations, the specific themes dealt with by doctors and surgeons of long-standing experience, and the information concerning diagnosis and therapy for all the major themes covered mean that this publication is of real and practical interest for professionals and specialists.
