NEW STUDY OF SURGICAL TECHNIQUE
(Nuovo trattato di tecnica chirurgica) Directed by Angelo Emilio Paletto

This edition of the Nuovo Trattato di Tecnica Chirurgica, directed by Angelo Emilio Paletto, represents the natural evolution of the previous work.

It is not, however, a new edition with the relative revisions. The Trattato has been redesigned with regards to its style, content, graphics and editorial layout, thus calling for a new title.

As well as covering the entire field of general surgery, the publication will include 3 volumes dedicated to specialised areas of interest to the general surgeon: vascular surgery, gynaecological surgery and urological surgery. The scientific content has been wholly updated, providing more space for new technologies, organ transplants and laparoscopic surgery; the traditional operations have been enriched with illustrations and the text has been lengthened. The result is a detailed study of surgery, with a wealth of illustrations, which helps especially in understanding the technically complex operations. The new graphic design makes reading easier and therefore increases the clarity of the text.

Due to its didactic character the Nuovo Trattati di Tecnica Chirurgica is targeted on students specialising in general surgery, and young surgeons. Even so, it is an extremely useful publication for expert surgeons who wish to keep up to date and maintain their own knowledge.
