THE CLINICAL EYE (Occhio clinico) Occhio clinico is the first Italian publication dedicated to the general medicine professional. The hospitalised patient is a person in captivity, isolated from his/her family and social context, and considered as a collection of systems and organs. Nowadays it is necessary to open a new phase of thinking concerning methods and knowledge in order to study both those who are ill and well in the natural environment. This series gathers together Italian general medicine’s ideas on how to build a science of the patient outside of the hospital setting.
